Dr. Andra Negoescu is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. She qualified in Bucharest, Romania, where she started her training in Rheumatology. She has an interest in (early) rheumatoid arthritis, biologic therapies, Methotrexate safety and tolerability, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Dr Negoescu joined the Trust in 2013; she spent 18 months working in the Rheumatology Research Unit, gaining experience in clinical trials and the use of biologics and small molecules. Prior to this, she spent 6 months at Imperial College London, looking at extra-articular manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis in patients taking anti-TNF alpha treatment. In 2014, Dr Negoescu briefly joined the Rush University Medical Centre in Chicago, United States, to observe Rheumatology practice in a different medical system.
